Vote for us in the elections!

We are a party that supports a strong traditionalist stance on social issues, but an economic view emphasising fiscal responsibility and globalism.

Our Manifesto (you are here)
The Model Conservative Party represents a wide range of views and opinions. At our core, however, we are a party that embodies pragmatic policies and compassionate conservatism. We firmly believe that when clear policy proposals have been recommended by experts, political parties should put aside their ideologies and go with the evidence. It is also vital to ensure that those who have been failed by some aspects of the status-quo are not swept aside by government: only the compassionate conservatism that the Model Conservative Party embodies has the adaptability and solutions required to do so.

Our successes have been:

The  Rape AnonymityAct Which ended the injustice of the press releasing the names of innocents whilst the case is still ongoing)

● Reforming Student Finance (made student finance more accessible to poorer students, whilst maintaining an internal market of degree courses)

● European Union Referendum Act 2014, a bill to force a referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union

●The  British Values Act Which demonstrated the strong cultural framework of which our Conservative party is built upon)

Showing our commitment to a proactive foreign policy based on guaranteeing human rights in Hong Kong and Syria.

We have a firm belief in  One Party Conservativism, we are a party capable of representing the views of Traditionalists and the Patriotic Right, whilst maintaining practical global and neoliberal policies. We are a party that embodies traditional values in education and values, but with a reactive and informed approach to foreign policy and economics.

The existence of UKIP shows historical failures of the Conservative party in representing its voters, however the Model Conservative party has shown itself to be an exceptional one capable of adequately representing the wide range of views within its party in a way that no other party has. It was the Conservatives who fought and pushed through for a referendum on the EU and in support of British values in schools. We are a party of the patriotic right, and we are capable of representing your views.

UKIP is a smaller party with a real participation crisis among its members. Their only legislation has been weak attempts to promote direct democracy over our traditional parliamentary democracy. The values embodied by Model UKIP are effectively populist Labour policies, both economic and socially. We are the one party capable of representing Conservative views amicably and effectively.
Economic Policy

The Model Conservative Party is a party that prides itself on the ability to manage our economy. Having recovered from the worst recession in memory, it is critical that a responsible and sensible policy is put forward to prevent this happening again. We believe that our policies accomplish that whilst also lessening the burden on individuals.

  • The main corporation tax rate will be reduced from 21% to 18%, ensuring that the United Kingdom remains a competitive and attractive place to do business and allowing businesses to invest more money in hiring people
  • The corporation tax for small business will be reduced to 12%, this protects free and creative enterprise
  • Less economically active areas of the United Kingdom, such as the North East or Yorkshire, will receive further tax breaks to rebalance the economy
  • Favourable tax status will be given to items of special cultural significance, decided upon by a committee in the same way as culturally significant buildings are, such as tea or especially significant British literature
  • The growth of a high-tech sector which will innovate and transform our economy and ensure that the United Kingdom remains competitive in an increasingly technological world will be encouraged, by way of tax breaks and the improvement of the necessary infrastructure
  • National Insurance and Income Tax will be rolled together and levelled at the previous income tax rate: this represents an effective tax cut of 2% and allows for greater transparency
  • Another tax bracket will be introduced, levelled on those earning more than £500,000pa at a rate of 45p in order to get effective taxation from those who can most afford it, and reduce the present highest bracket, levelled on those earning more than £150,000 to 30p
  • Import duty will be scrapped in order to promote globalism and the free trade that the United Kingdom unequivocally benefits from,
  • The tax system will be simplified by further reducing and scrapping taxes and exemptions, which will have the effect of discouraging tax avoidance and streamlining departments such as Revenue and Customs, allowing for further clamp-downs on tax avoidance
European Union Policy

In the event of YES to the EU in the Referendum, the Conservatives will pledge to limit money into the EU and renegotiate the rebate.
  • We are opposed to the democratic deficit, and staying in the EU will require a stronger say in the EU Commission and Council regarding economics
  • We will fight to prohibit intrusive EU agencies such as the EBA which actively throttle the growth of the City of London.
  • We will maintain national sovereignty, self-determination and laws.
  • We will maintain a healthy relationship that enriches our economy and society, and not participate in measures which do that.
We will not submit to levies of tax if our economy does better than other EU countries. British people
In the event of NO to the EU the Conservatives have already peer reviewed a comprehensive bill on how we will handle a brexit.
  • We will limit immigration through an Australian style system based on cultural compatibility and individual merit; all immigrants should enrich their host nation.
  • We will maintain free trade deals with the Eurozone as stipulated in the Treaty of Lisbon
  • We will increase trade with the Anglosphere and Commonwealth countries
Domestic Policy
Drugs
  • The Conservative’s stance on drugs will not change. We will oppose the further legalisation of drugs including cocaine and heroin. The short-term benefits of legalising drugs for money is outweighed by the potential damage long-term damage these drugs will cause.
Immigration
  • With the EU referendum approaching, the Conservative's are prepared for a vote to leave the EU.
  • This is why the Conservatives have already peer reviewed a comprehensive bill which will be released as soon as a vote to leave the EU vote is known
  • Unrestricted immigration is discriminatory; we should implement an Australian style system where we judge people based on their own merits and introduce a cultural criteria for entry.
  • Promote emigration from the developed Commonwealth instead of EU, of which we share collective values.
Female Genital Mutilation
  • We will issue guidelines to all head teachers in England and Wales so every single teacher can be aware of the signs.
  • The NHS will keep record of females who have had the operation done, in order to keep aware of other females in the family who may become under risk.
Terror Policy
  • The Conservative party will ensure that the hunt to reduce terrorism will not infringe rights.
  • The fight against terrorism begins at home. This is why we will support local mosques which have denounced ISIL. This will mean that more muslims will have access to more moderate views and will be less likely to join ISIL and other islamic terrorist groups.
  • We will stop the spread of propaganda both online and on the streets which incites religious hatred.
Culture
  • The Conservative party recognises the overarching and unifying nature of British culture, which extends to all people who share British values.
  • We support a cultural criteria to be used to determine whether an individual should be able to immigrate to the UK.
  • It is our duty to protect oppressed minorities that share British values, such as Syriac Christians under ISIL rule, through granting refugee status or intervention.
  • We will subsidise traditional families through tax breaks and other indirect subsidies. No child should have to live in a broken home, and so we pledge to make family life accessible and available to all.
  • We are firmly against honour killings, FGM and arranged marriage and we will make it our responsibility to safeguard all British citizens, especially children, from these atrocities.
  • We pledge to hold a special tax exemption for items of cultural significance, such as Jammie Dodgers. This will be decided by committee in the same way as buildings are investigated for cultural significance.
Constitutional Policy

The Model Conservative Party is a firm supporter of the current constitutional arrangements that have served our United Kingdom well for hundreds of years. We are resistant to radical overhauls that could have consequences which in practice damage our country and the democracy it enshrines.

The Model Conservatives Pledge that:

  • Further reform to the House of Lords will not be introduced as Lords in the Model Parliament already have few powers
  • We will protect our constitutional monarchy unconditionally and not give way to reactive extremists set on the destruction of our constitutional and cultural framework
  • The Local Government Association will consult regularly with the government to discuss devolution to councils when powers are requested
  • Local governments will be able to pool resources and employees in order to support one another and therefore individuals in council areas
  • A parliamentary committee will be created to outline how readable local government literature should be to cut down on the amount of jargon used

Foreign Policy
Syria and Iraq
  • We should maintain non-partisan aid to Syria.
  • We should end support for the minority opposition in Syria, it has only been a breeding ground for extremists.
  • We need to reintroduce the Treason Law to deal with British Citizens who have joined ISIL, they should be given a military trial.

Russia
  • We should be demanding Russia allow a free and fair referendum with UN observers watching. If they vote YES after that, then we should recognise Russia's claim to the Crimean peninsular.
  • We should not participate in sanctions unless they are representative of the wishes of the British public; not simply to follow the EU line.

Other:
  • Defending British interests abroad through diplomacy where possible, force where necessary
  • As healthy and beneficial a relationship as possible with the EU, in or out.
  • A more active role in defending our NATO allies in eastern europe from Russian scheming and aggression.
  • A more active role in humanitarian missions in response to natural disasters. Ebola at the moment is the most prevalent example.
  • A stronger line on China in regards to Hong Kong
Israel/Palestine
  • Palestinian recognition eventually dependent on their actions towards Israel.
  • Recognition of a state with Hamas at its head is impossible.
  • Unconditional support for Israel's right to exist.
  • Full support for Palestinians living under the islamofascist rule of Hamas and Fatah.
A bill recognising Palestinian statehood should include:
  • A royal commission to determine the modern boundaries, ethnic composition and democratic wishes of the population of the West Bank.
  • Accept Gaza as Palestinian territory.
  • Should condemn the Palestinian Authority for propaganda and militancy.
  • Accept Jerusalem as capital, but not attempt to grant Sovereignty to it.
Energy and Environment
  • We promise an expansion of Emissions Trading to create a market-driven solution to protect our natural resources.
  • Increased investments in nuclear power.
  • We support the idea of ending the badger cull, and subsidize vaccination, to effectively deal with the issue of tuberculosis.
  • We will also support offshore tracking. It is an important source of cheap energy and does very little environmental damage. We will rely on this until we are more dependent on nuclear.
Localism
  • Support initiatives whereby volunteers are given training in return for doing public sector jobs
  • Work with the LGA to give local governments the powers they actually want and need
  • Encourage inter-council training and networking, especially in areas with no lawyers employed or with employees possessing little experience or knowledge of local government processes.
  • Use £8,200,000 to start a programme dedicated to giving young and promising local government employees the experience to lead at an earlier age.
  • Introduce a Parliamentary committee to outline how readable local government literature must be. We do not support councils hiding under jargon-filled reports.

Education

The Model Conservative Party firmly believes that education is the foundation of a society. Every society benefits from having a highly educated population, and the Model Conservatives want to ensure that quality, diverse education is available to every child in the United Kingdom.

The Model Conservatives pledge that:

  • The government’s full support will be given to the creation of grammar schools, ensuring that children from even the most deprived background have access to a great school
  • Local residents, businesses, and charities will be able to create free schools, free from local government control, to introduce competition to the education system
  • Any secondary or high school will be able to become an academy, allowing parents more control over what is taught to their children and how it is taught to their children
  • Teachers will be required to take an oath to publically show their commitment to education in a similar fashion to the way doctors currently take the Hippocratic oath
  • Students will be encouraged to take STEM and English Baccalaureate subjects by giving these subjects an advantage in university admissions
  • Companies providing apprenticeships will be given tax breaks if their apprentice is employed two years after the apprenticeship has ended
  • Universities will be able to form federations with other universities, businesses, and charities
  • to pool their resources and work closely on research projects
  • Teachers will be issued guidelines concerning female genital mutilation so that every single teacher is aware of the signs and symptoms
Health

The Model Conservative Party is a party committed to the improvement of the National Health Service. It is vitally important that the NHS remains one of the best healthcare systems in the world and something that every person in the United Kingdom can rely on all of the time.

The Model Conservatives pledge that:
  • Money will be allocated to the NHS budget to fund air ambulances rather than have them rely on private donations
  • The ineffectual internal market will be scrapped as the evidence suggests it reduces efficiency and shifts the focus of the NHS to competition rather than care
  • Public awareness campaigns of the costs of missed NHS appointments will be introduced and will include soft ‘nudge’ punishments such as text messages informing of the cost
  • A £1bn Ebola fund will immediately be created, with at least 65% of this money set aside for research into curing and treating Ebola, with 20% to control its spread into Britain
  • Encourage more people to join the medical profession by paying for all tuition fees for all courses leading a career in medicine or the NHS
  • Targets will not be based on quick turnaround times, but instead on patient care and satisfaction, as well as the value-based outcome model
  • All debt accrued due to the private finance initiatives introduced in the past will be transferred to and centralised by the government
  • Mental health will be prioritised nationally in an effort to increase awareness and ensure a healthy society in all respects
  • Doctors will be required to take note of female patients who have undergone female genital mutilation procedures in order to be aware of other females who may be at risk
